Last Call! Ready For the Winter Solstice?

This Sunday, December 15, 2013, Gayle’s Thyme Herbal Apothecary and the Connecticut Pagan Pride group will be hosting a Winter Solstice celebration. It’s from 11- 5 at the Powder Mill Barn, 32 Maple St in Enfield Ct.

And the psychics of Foresight will be there, doing readings and selling Catherine’s books.

The event includes readers and vendors and  a solstice ritual. There will also be a collection of socks, hats, scarves, gloves and travel toiletries as a donation for folks at the local shelter, so please take this opportunity to share the joy of season with others who are less fortunate

The Light is Coming…..

Happy Winter Solstice to you all.

The winter solstice is the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Leading up to it, the days get shorter and shorter, and we live with darkness for more and more of our lives.

After the solstice though, the days begin to get longer again, and the light returns into our lives.

And that’s worth thinking about….

I know that, for many of us, this has been a rough year, with more than a share of sorrow, anxiety, fear and darkness.

And it seems like it will never end.

But that’s not how it works.

The solstice tells us that, just when things seem darkest, that’s when we should hold on and start looking for the light that is surely returning to us.

That’s worth celebrating.

Happy Winter Solstice to you all, and may your lives be full of Love, and Laughter, and Light as soon as possible
