On Sunday, we talked about the power of “Yes”. About saying “Ooooo! Aaaah! YES!” (…Thank you, Daniel Greenwolf…) to the things that that support you in living your Life Mission, and being extraordinary.

But part of the power of “Yes” is also knowing the power of “No”. Knowing when you need to say “No” in order to live your dream

  • “No” to fear- fear of failure or fear of sucess;
  • “No” to people who belittle or drain you;
  • “No”” to beliefs that bind you or make you less than you are;
  • “No” to living your life in a rut;
  • “No” to busywork, that distracts you from the activities that fuel your dreams;

Once you know your Life Mission, it’s a good choice to use it as a guide for the best way to spend your time, your energy and your resources. If you’re a painter, to paint. If you’re a healer, to heal. If you’re an inventor, to invent.

And saying yes to the things that support your dreams also means sometimes saying no to some of the things that don’t.

I’m not saying that everything you do needs to be about your life mission. There’s room in your life for T.V. and pizza, as well as for doing extraordinary things. But, long term, you’ll find yourself more happy and pleased with your life if you’ve focused more on living your mission than on random activities.

Saying “yes” to the things that complete you, and “no” to the things that just take up time.

One of the mantras I’ve been working for years is “I can do anything I want. I just can’t do everything  I want….”

 And chosing the things that sing to me, make my life better.

So I wish you the power of  “yes” and the power of  “no” and the wisdom to know which to use when….

Wanna live an extraordinary life? Then you need to join forces with the power of “Yes”….

Those of you who’ve been visiting here for a while may know that I’m a big advocate of the “Life Mission“. I believe that each and everyone of us has something extraordinary that we are here to do, something that we bring to the party of Life that noone else can bring for us.

And part of making this happen is knowing what your Life Mission is – what you are here to do with your life. And another major part is being willing to move outside of your comfort zone to make that happen.

Many people live mundane, “middle-of-the-road” lives. Some people go way  beyond that. And the main difference between the two is being willing to say “Yes” to moving beyond survival and into adventure.  “Yes” to what calls to you. “Yes” to being imperfect while you try and learn new things. “Yes” to your ability to make a difference or make  things happen.

“Yes”” to being extraordinary…

I have a friend who is a stage magician (www.greenwolfmagic.com ) . One part of his show is teaching his audience to say “Ooooo! Aaaaaaah! YES!” when they see something in the show that amazes them or pleases them mightily.

I’d like to encourage you to say “Ooooo! Aaaah! YES!” to your life. and to make your life something that you want to say “Ooooo!! Aaaah! YES!” to…

Say Yes to what is extraordinary in you….

 Thank goodness for renaissance events in the winter. It’s good to have the chance to strap on your sword or bodice, shout “Huzzah!”, and live larger than life all year round.

We’re currently getting our medieval on at Wicked Winter Faire, but if you missed it or aren’t in the position to quest all of the way to New Jersey, we’ve got another small and cozy renaissance event coming up this weekend.

The Fourth Annual Renaissance Banquet will be held Friday and Saturday nights (2/25 and 26) from 7-10 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport,  96 Chapel St, Stratford Ct.

It’s an evening of entertainment, music, magic, food, laughter, and fun.
Come see The Music of Jenna Greene, The Magic of Daniel Greenwolf, Rachel Gibertie, Matt and Carli Harlow, Dave Mousch, Dena Lagonigro, Kevin and Lee Barile and Chris Pytlak for an evening of merrymaking and frivolity

The cost of feast and entertainment is $25 and reservations are required (Call Carli 203-218-0331)

Foresight will be doing readings at this event from 6-7 and in intervals in the entertainment during the evening. So you can have your renaissance and your psychics , too…..

Hi folks,

Once more, we dive into the adventure and romance of the Renaissance faire… (We’re just adventurous and romantic that way…)

We’re starting out the current season of chivalry on September 18 and 19 at the Lakewood Renaissance Faire at Pine Park in Lakewood, N.J.

There’ll be jousting and magic, singing and dancing, knights and pirates and maidens fair,

And wolves, I understand. Both four-legged and two-legged…

(Check the link above for more info on the faire and some lovely video.)

You’ll find the psychics of Foresight at the Sooth Booth of the East Kingdom Soothsayer’s guild. We’d love it if you stopped by to say hello (and get a reading if you’re so inclined :-)….)

And there’s more adventure on the horizon…
