Earlier this week, I posted a link to a video for the after dark joust for Halloween Knights, going on at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire every Saturday night and on Sunday Oct 7th as well, just so you could get a taste of what the spooky part of the faire would be like.

But that’s not all that’s happening.

The faire is full of fabulous events that happen every weekend. Catch such acts as the Tribal de Luna bellydance troop, Circus Stella with their fabulous combination of strength and flexibility, aerial acts and talented canines performers, the music of the Trouvieres or the Lost Boys, the laughter of Commedia Mania or the Pope and the Cardinal, and the sheer fun of Vixens En Guarde. And that’s not even taking into account all of the going on in King Arthur’s Court!

But there are also themes and events that are special to each weekend

This weekend is Time Traveller Weekend, when visitors from other genres than the medieval are especially welcome. Steampunk or Star Wars, fantasy or Dr Who- this weekend is especially for you. This weekend you can

-Enter the Cosplay costume contest (10/6)

-Enter the Steampunk costume contest (10/7)

-See fantasy artist, Jane Star Weils (6-8)

     – Attend a book signing with R.A. and Geno Salvatore(10/6)

     – Join our fingerdancers on Deaf Awareness Day (Oct 6)

-Join us for safe trick or treat (10/6,7,13,20,27)

     – Enter the kids costume contest during Halloween Knights (10/6,7)

-See the Owl-o- Ween show, during Halloween Knights (10/6,7)

-Attend the Babes in Bodices contest (10/7)

-Attend or enter the Men in Kilts contest (10/8)

And that’s all in addition to all of the regular wonderful the faire is made up of.

(That includes us, the psychics of Foresight. We’ll be there doing readings and Reiki and selling my books and having a wonderful time out of time.)

In short, this is gonna be a busy weekend at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire, and just crammed full of awesome. It’s so nice, you may have to do it twice.

And there’s three more weekends beyond this one…

It’s another podcast coming up – and this one is an unusual one.

Two weeks from tonight, on Thursday night (7/12/12), I’ll once again be appearing from 8-9 pm on Cauldron of Knowledge with Alexis Doyle on http://liveparanormal.com/

The topic of the night? I’ll be talking about core divination – the various elements that different methods of psychic readings, such as tarot, palmistry, the I Ching and reading tea leaves hold in common, and what that tells us about our own natural psychic abilities.

I’ll also be talking about unique methods of doing readings, including by Taco Bell sauce packets and one by using a TV remote. (Yes, you read that right…) If we have time, I’ll even field questions about how you can develop your own personal way of doing readings.

Want to catch this interview, call in with your own questions or be part of the live chat happening during every show?

If you just want to listen, you can go to the above site, click the “Listen Live and Chat” listing under the “radio-listen/chat room” heading, and click “LISTEN HERE” next to “Cauldron of Knowledge”.

If you want to chat, you’ll need to go to the top of the home page on the extreme right and click “Join” to set up a personal account ( it’s free but takes a few moments, so you might want to do this in advance)

There are provisions for listeners to phone in with questions, too.

And, if you can’t tune in at that time, Live Paranormal.com archives its shows for your listening at a time convenient to you.

Hope you can join me two weeks from tonight from 8-9 at Cauldron of Knowledge on liveparanormal.com

Six weeks after Lammas comes the Autumn Equinox, on or about the 21st of September. This is another “balance festivals” when neither light nor darkness holds majority. It is also the time of the Apple harvest when you can divine the name of your future mate by throwing apple peelings over your shoulder and seeing what letter forms.
                                                      Till next week

The summertime’s not over yet, and we’ve still got time.

Time for traveling…

Time for meeting interesting people…

Time for trying new and different things…

And Foresight has another great event for you!

On August 28, at the VFW at 152 Massirio Dr, Berlin, Ct, it’s the 2010 Connecticut Pagan Pride Day!

They’ll have classes  and other events. (Catherine will be teaching “Symbols in Magick”  and an exercise in collaborative storytelling  in regards to the Oral tradition).

There’ll be lots of fine vendors ( including the psychics of Foresight).

And instead of admission, they’re asking for donations of:

  • non-perishable food for the local food bank;
  • blankets, towels, pet food or toys for the Connecticut Humane Society;
  • new or gently used pagan items for soldiers stationed overseas (no candles or items with open flames, please);

So this is another chance to make the world better, learn interesting things, meet new people and have fun all at the same time and place. And how enlightened is that?

If you want more information, please check out www.facebook.com/pages/Connecticut-Pagan-Pride/110582388967451?ref=ts

Hi folks,

I’m working on a project. And I’d like your input, if you’re willing to help.

As a palmreader, I’ve noticed that there aren’t many other folks reading palms these days. That’s a pity, as it’s a lovely, accurate, empowering method of divination.

Since I didn’t want palmistry to become a dying art, I started teaching it, both in person and online. I was told repeatedly that my students hadn’t been able to learn palmistry from books, but that my ways of explaining things left them able to read palms where they couldn’t before.

I’m honored by this.

So, as the next logical step towards reaching as many people as possible, I’m currently writing “Adventures in Palmistry”…

This book is based on the online and live courses I teach on palmistry. It’s  52  “bite-sized” lessons taking  you step by step through what I’ve learned in  40 years of practicing the art.

The book  includes lots of information that makes reading  palms simple. It also includes stories about my experiences in the field (with identities carefully concealed-don’t worry, folks).

I’m currently in the process of final draft/ edit of my manuscript, but I want to do my best to  make sure this book meets the needs of as many readers as  possible.

With that in mind, I’ve got questions for you-

If you were reading a book like this, what kind of information would you want to see in it? What would be helpful to you in learning palmistry? What would you find interesting?

I’d appreciate your feedback,as it’ll help me be sure I’m covering what folks need and want to know.

And, as an added bonus, anyone who leaves a comment or sends me  email input at we_are_foresight@yahoo.com on this question will receive a free chapter from this book upon request (please leave your email address and say if you want the chapter-one man’s gold is another man’s spam…)

Your input is appreciated the sooner the better (by the end of June at the latest) so that I can finish my edit and head towards publication.

My thanks and I hope to be hearing from you soon.

At Faire today, I received an unusual request. A couple asked for me to do a reading for their relationship.  So I had them hold hands and concentrate on the relationship while I shuffled and then had them both cut the cards . The reading went quite well.

                                              Till next time
