In only a few days, the Robin Hood Springtime Festival will open its gates, inviting you to a world of adventure, romance and good fun for everyone.

There’s a host of entertainment and fun happening every day of the faire, but there are also different special events happening every weekend. This weekend, it’s the Robin Hood and Maid Marion look-alike contest on Saturday, and you’re invited to take Mom on a trip to the Renaissance on Sunday for Mother’s Day. (Watch for more fun events in the coming weekends)

The psychics of Foresight will be there, doing Reiki and readings by tarot, palm, I Ching, intuition and dowsing. We’ll also be selling copies of “Adventures in Palmistry” and “The Practical Empath”; as well as enjoying the amazing people and experiences you find at a renaissance faire.

Well, it’s a little over a week to the opening of the Robin Hood Springtime festival in Guilford, Ct.

And we want to see you there.

Besides all of the outlaws and jousting and general medieval carrying-on, this first weekend is Easter weekend, so there’ll be an Easter egg hunt on both days of the weekend;

Celebrity guest Chase Masterson of Robin Hood – Men in Tights and Star Trek- Deep Space Nine will be there for a Q & A and autograph session;

Kids 12 and under get in free on Sunday:

Thank goodness for renaissance events in the winter. It’s good to have the chance to strap on your sword or bodice, shout “Huzzah!”, and live larger than life all year round.

We’re currently getting our medieval on at Wicked Winter Faire, but if you missed it or aren’t in the position to quest all of the way to New Jersey, we’ve got another small and cozy renaissance event coming up this weekend.

The Fourth Annual Renaissance Banquet will be held Friday and Saturday nights (2/25 and 26) from 7-10 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport, 96 Chapel St, Stratford Ct.

It’s an evening of entertainment, music, magic, food, laughter, and fun.
Come see The Music of Jenna Greene, The Magic of Daniel Greenwolf, Rachel Gibertie, Matt and Carli Harlow, Dave Mousch, Dena Lagonigro, Kevin and Lee Barile and Chris Pytlak for an evening of merrymaking and frivolity

The cost of feast and entertainment is $25 and reservations are required (Call Carli 203-218-0331)

Foresight will be doing readings at this event from 6-7 and in intervals in the entertainment during the evening. So you can have your renaissance and your psychics , too…..

As we bid farewell to Connecticut Renaissance Faire, new adventures loom ahead of us.

On Saturday, October 30, the psychics of Foresight will be at the New York Witch Festival in Smithtown, New York.

And this is an event you’ll want to see.

There’ll be lots of treats for all of us…

There’ll be workshops and author signings by notable figures in the craft, such as Oberon Zell Ravenheart. There’ll be entertainment. There’ll be projects by organizations such as Running With the Wolves and a Pagan Troop donation drive collecting supplies for our pagan soldiers stationed overseas. There’ll be lots of vendors. (Here’s your chance to get a start on your holiday shopping.)

And, there’ll be psychic readers. Including us. We’d love the chance to start your holiday weekend off right with a quality reading from Foresight…

There’s been three weekends of medieval festivities and now the Connecticut Renaissance Faire enters the haunted time of the year.

It’s a were-faire! By day, the regular renaissance faire that we all know and love, and by night, something….darker….

On the next two Saturdays of CTRF, the faire will be open for two extra hours on Saturday nights (at no extra charge to you, our beloved patrons…).

During these hours, you’ll see

Safe Trick or Treat for the little ones;
A costume contest where you can show off your best look;

And

Halloween Knight where three unholy terrors compete for the right to escape from Limbo;

Plus all of the wonders traditionally found at Connecticut Renaissance Faire,

Including the psychics of Foresight, of course.

This is the weekend specially chosen for elves and wizards, barbarians and unicorns and all of the creatures of fantasy.

There’ll be a Bodice competition on Sunday October 3 for fans of great engineering in costume.

And on Saturday, Oct. 2, the Pope will be offering a Vows renewal ceremony (no, not THAT Pope! The other one!)
