Connecticut Pagan Pride Day is an event which gives people a chance to interact with members of the pagan community and learn a little bit about people on other spiritual paths. The event is open to the community and includes classes, vendors, public information booths, a ceremony and a whole lot more.

The psychics of Foresight will be there, teaching classes, doing readings and selling my books and we hope to see you there as well

Once again, the time for Pagan Pride Day in Connecticut is drawing close and we’d like you to join us there

This year’s Connecticut Pagan Pride Day will be held on September 6th in Berlin Ct. There will be a lot of great teachers, including Starwolf who will be teaching folks about warding. Lots of good vendors, too, including the psychics of Foresight, who’ll be there doing readings and selling Cathy’s books.

This Saturday is Connecticut Pagan Pride Day from 10-6 at the VFW in Berlin, CT, and Foresight will be there. Pagan pride days are held throughout the country as a way for pagans to come together and for non-pagans to learn more about people who follow these special spiritual paths.

There’ll be lots of great vendors there and interesting classes, as well as a group ritual at 1:30 pm that everyone is welcome to attend. Admission is just the donation of a non perishable food item for the Berlin Food Bank and/ or pet supplies for the Connecticut Humane Society. (check the website for a list of items that are needed).

Foresight will be there, doing readings and selling Cathy’s books. Starwolf will be one of the day’s teachers and will be teaching a class on ”Practical Grounding and Centering” at 11:30.

After the Storm….

It’s been a crazy weekend…

And I hope that all of you who visit this blog, our website or our FB page, or who come to see us at our events are whole, and well, and in good shape. That the ones you love or care for are, too. That your homes came through the storm ok, and that your lives are back on track, or will be soon.

Starwolf and I worked Connecticut Pagan Pride day on Saturday – an outdoor event that looked like it might be trashed by the incoming weather, but actually turned out to be a great event.

On Sunday, we made our preparations and did the best we could; and then sat out the storm. Lost power and other utilities by 11, and spent the day reading by battery lantern, sleeping, listening to the storm, and getting updates on the radio.

This morning (Monday), we’re still without power, land phone, cable and internet. So I’m off to Panera’s to recharge my cell and computer, and put this note in the works for you folks.

Got me thinking…

Sometimes life is like this weekend.

Sometimes the things that look the most scary and risky, actually turn out to be really great for us.

Sometimes, we’ve got to be prepared to be flexible, to put aside the plans we have, take life as it comes, and make the best of what we’ve got going on.

And sometimes it’s good to have that interruption. so we remember to appreciate the things and people that we take for granted in our lives

End result – not the weekend we would have liked, but we’re ok, our home is ok and things will get better. So, I’m sitting here in Panera’s now (Monday morning), writing this post to you folks, and enjoying the light, and power, and access to the folks on our blog.

And, when I called home again, a little while ago, it sounds like the power is on…

This Saturday, 8/27/11, the psychics of Foresight are strutting their stuff at the annual Connecticut Pagan Pride Day from 10 to 6 at the VFW Hall, at 152 Massirio Dr, in Berlin, Ct. We’ll be there doing readings, teaching classes, answering questions, offering “Adventures in Palmistry” for sale and having a good time

It’s going to be a good time for all concerned

There’ll be classes, including Catherine’s “Introduction to Palmistry” class (For more information on classes, check here ),

There’ll be the “Ask a Pagan” program,and Starwolf will be one of the pagans on tap,

There’ll be entertainment,

There’ll be lots of lovely shopping…

And most of all, there’ll be the chance to learn more about paganism, and meet a lot of fun and interesting people.

And, what could be finer than that?

In lieu of admission to this great event, Connecticut Pagan Pride will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for the food bank and food and supplies for animals in shelters. So you can do something to make the world better and also have a great time ( How fun-efficient is that?) For lists of what is needed, click here

The summertime’s not over yet, and we’ve still got time.

Time for traveling…

Time for meeting interesting people…

Time for trying new and different things…

And Foresight has another great event for you!

On August 28, at the VFW at 152 Massirio Dr, Berlin, Ct, it’s the 2010 Connecticut Pagan Pride Day!

They’ll have classes and other events. (Catherine will be teaching “Symbols in Magick” and an exercise in collaborative storytelling in regards to the Oral tradition).

There’ll be lots of fine vendors ( including the psychics of Foresight).

And instead of admission, they’re asking for donations of:

non-perishable food for the local food bank;
blankets, towels, pet food or toys for the Connecticut Humane Society;
new or gently used pagan items for soldiers stationed overseas (no candles or items with open flames, please);

So this is another chance to make the world better, learn interesting things, meet new people and have fun all at the same time and place. And how enlightened is that?
