Last Saturday night, there was a hairbreadth escape from burning at the stake, a death defying balance act on a flaming ladder and a host of other amazing feats. Only time will tell what wonders will be revealed this weekend (I hear rumors of a siren and a singing squirrel with his own back up band, for starters…)

There’s a hush in the air- an almost tangible silence, as of something waiting to be born.

Mist gathers,

And a doorway opens into a land of fantasy.

This Saturday, June 23, the doorway opens for three wonderful weekends of the Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire in Ansonia, CT. Enter a world of magick, full of faeries and orcs, animal kin and trolls, honor and treachery and adventure.

There’ll be music, merriment, juggling, shopping, singing, food and drink (including mead) and just plain old good times;

And the psychics of Foresight, of course. We love a good adventure

In addition to the day stuffed full of awesome, on all three weekends, Midsummer will be offering special night shows on Saturdays only.

On this first Saturday, Hnbris dances with fire, Wyck perfoms a new act involving himself on the top of a tall flaming ladder held upright by audience members, and Daniel Greenwolf attempts to escape from the chains holding him to avoid being burned at the stake.

(I’m sensing a theme here…)

It’ll be a blast, but it won’t be complete if you’re not there, so join us at the Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire.
