Are you interested in the metaphysics of manifestation (that’s the magick of creating something that wasn’t there before)?

Well, “Ask and It is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires” gives you useful information and helpful tools to do just that.

This book is full of great ways to build your manifestation skills, put yourself in a better state to use those skills, and manifest better things in your life.It also teaches you the things and mindsets that prevent you from manifesting good things or cause you to create less desirable things; and  gives you ways to stop doing things.

In other ways, learn ways to create good stuff and stop creating bad stuff. Which is what we all need…

And it’s all so fun….

Esther Hicks, the primary author of this book, has given you a lot of good information on manifestation and how it works. She’s also filled the book up with processes or  games (because they’re more fun than exercises) that show you how to manifest  things from many angles and in many ways, so you have a wide choice of what methods will work best for you, both as an  individual and in the state you’re in at any moment.

Trust me- no matter who you are and where you’re at at the moment, you’ll find something here useful to you.

Esther channels Abraham, a spirit guide and non-corporeal Collective Consciousness (find New Age jargon a bit confusing? That’s a group of beings working together who aren’t physically present on this plane of existance) While I don’t totally agree with everything that Esther and Abraham have to say, I do believe that this is an important, practical and very useful book for anyone who wants to learn about the Law of Attraction and how to use it well.

If you’re that person, this book belongs in your library.

And that’s why I’m recommending it. Because you folks deserve the best.

Enjoy!

PS Esther and Abraham have produced a  large number of useful and helpful books and CDs, but this is the best one to start with.

 Hi folks,

For a couple of years now, one of the techniques that I’ve been happy to be experimenting with is one called Emotional Freedom Technique ( E.F.T. , for short).

EFT is a process of combining affirmations with tapping on points on your energy meridians to clear negative beliefs, emotions, fears and phobias. It’s easy to learn, quick and easy to do,and very effective

Personally, I’ve found it incredibly helpful and effective for releasing”old luggage” that I wanted to let go of  but somehow couldn’t release (and as someone born on the cusp of Cancer and Leo, I don’t let go of anything easily 🙂 ). I’ve also seen video of its effectiveness in releasing military post traumatic stress disorder and swimming phobia.

Because it’s worked so well for me, I’ve been delighted to recommend it to other people who needed to let go of things. The site I’ve recommended is www.emofree.com, the site hosted  by Gary Craig, the developer of EFT.This site includes a free basic EFT manual, newsletter and lots more great resources, both free and for sale.

This site contains lots of useful information. It’s therefore painful to report that Gary is retiring as of Jan. 15, 2010, and  that, when he retires, the site and all of the resources close down as well.

Sigh. This is good stuff that’s helped a lot of people and could help a lot more. I understand, however, that the work’s become  overwhelming to him, and health problems are forcing him to close down. I’m just glad that I learned EFT when I did.

The bad news is that Gary Craig’s EFT site is closing down on 1/15/10. The good news is that it will remain open until then. I know that it’s the holidays and folks are busy, but I’d urge you to dash over to www.emofree.com and make EFT part of your life while theres still time.

You’ll be glad you did…

Til next time

Are you beginning to get in touch with your psychic self and thinking about looking into a way to do psychic readings for yourself or others?

Are you an experienced reader who’d like to branch out into new and different methods of reading?

Are you interested in the common truths that lie beneath the surface of all types of readings?

Well, have I got a book for you!..

“The Book of Ordinary Oracles” by Lon Milo DuQuette is a fascinating and fun read about a group of people using  the common thread of different types of psychic readings to develope custom methods of their own, using common household items. From a card deck based on Mark Twain, to divination by T.V. remote, to a method using the book itself, this book is full of fascinating ways to see beyond the five senses.

I laughed. I gasped. I learned a lot, too. And it made me think about the core truths of divination, and how we work with them.

I still use palmistry, I Ching, pendulum dowsing and intuitive work. But I also have an oracles based on the sayings on hot sauce from Taco Bell ;-)…

I invite you to come share the fun ( and learn something cool..).  Check out “The Book of Ordinary Oracles”.

As some of you may know, I’ve very interested in manifestation and the various techniques of making it happen. The idea that “thoughts become things”, words have power and what we give our attention to affects what shows into our lives is fascinating and surprising to me. Because of this, I’ve spent a lot of time learning ways to work with this phenomenon, and experimenting with them to understand what makes them tick better.

That being said, if this interests you too, I’ve got a book to recommend to you.

The Law of Attraction in Action” by Deanna Davis is a wonderful book for getting started with the Law of Attraction. It’s well-written, very grounded and a fun read. More than that, it makes manifestation user-friendly, even if you’re new to metaphysics. Good exercises, simple techniques, and lots of Deanna’s own experiences (including her initial questions and doubts about manifestation) make this a really good book to include in your metaphysical library.

I wanted more :-).

On a scale of 1-5 Lucky Cats  for practical skills for living in a magickal world, I give it a 5.

Keep watching. More good stuff coming.

When Starwolf and I first started doing Reiki, we found that using regular furniture made working hard on the back. So, after some research, of course, we trotted out and bought a massage table.

Given that I’m 5′ 1 3/4″ and he’s 6′ 3″, an extraordinary table was indicated.

More recently, I had a class inquire after the type of table we have. Here’s the pitch for any of you who are interested.

Our massage table is a Stronglite, Inc. table.

Things of interest:

  • It adjusts to good heights for Starwolf, myself and anyone else I’ve worked with to work either sitting or standing.
  • It’s sturdy( some of our clients and friends are substantial)
  • It folds compactly (I’ve transported it in the back of a Festiva)
  • It’s light enough that hobbit-like me can carry it (wouldn’t want to take it on a 5 mile hike, but for all practical purposes…)
  • The wider size (which we have) is wide enough that folks’ arms don’t topple off, but narrow enough to work across
  • It’s cushy (I’ve had one student take a nap on it!)
  • It comes in an assortment of pretty colors)
  • Body is attractive wood
  • You can fit your legs under it
  • It’s well-priced for what you get

I could go on and on (indeed, looking above, I just did!)

Now, I don’t get a kickback on this. I just wanted to share information on a really remarkable table.

So if you’re looking for a massage table, give Stronglite a look.

I think you’ll be happy with it…
