Want to find your way to enlightenment by getting a little lost first?
If you’d like to try a different kind of meditation, one cross cultural tool for meditation and contemplation is a labyrinth.
While the dictionary defines a labyrinth as “a complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one’s way; a maze”, a true labyrinth consists of a single path that winds back and forth but eventually takes you to single central location (as opposed to a maze, which offers multiple paths and dead ends)
Walking a labyrinth can be helpful for meditation, introspection, problem solving or even getting in touch with your creative side
and there are many labyrinths all over the world.
