Do you need a little epic adventure in your life?

Find us for plenty of neo- Victorian fun at the Steampunk World’s Faire, May 15th to 17th at the Radisson Hotel Piscataway Somerset in Piscataway, NJ

There’ll be lots of wonders to be marveled at and delightful things to experience. There’ll be classes and adventures and entertainment and tea.

And the psychics of Foresight, of course. We’ll be doing readings and Reiki and selling my books

And, hopefully, there’ll be you.

I’ll be teaching my Introduction to Palmistry class and Starwolf is Teaching Dowsing with Pendulums and L Rods, as well as the Occult Renaissance of the Victorian era.

Things a Little Strained… (The Follow Up)

Two weeks ago, I wrote a post about fear and stress (Things A Little Strained…) . How it can change your energy to a more negative level, which can cause you to attract more negative experiences. And some ideas about how to deal with that

and I thought that you might like to hear about the followup.

We’d been facing tech challenges, a tight budget and a whopping tax bill.

Stressful, right? You bet.

So I did some things to nurture myself and shift my energy into as positive a level as I could.

And, in the week that followed

we figured out how to deal with the tax bill.
the caseload on my day job began to climb again, and
after months of looking hard, Starwolf was offered a job- and at a higher rate than he was making before.

The last one is even more exciting when you realize that

he was looking in places online that he hadn’t before because I asked him to
he found out because of that that the online and physical world versions of job hunting agencies don’t always seem to share info with each other
he ran across a job fair that he wouldn’t have found if he wasn’t doing this
he popped into this faire
he found that the person who recruited him to that agency was gone, but the person he was talking to had something she thought he’d be a good fit for
he got an interview within a couple of days and was offered a job

Lots of co-incidences? Maybe- but the other co-incidence is that this happened right after I made a conscious effort to lift my energy to a more positive level.

Hmmmmm…..

The weather may be a bit wet still and the temperature may go up and down a bit, but it’s still lovely weather for getting outdoors

And Foresight is on the move…

Catch us this Saturday in the great out of doors on April 25th at Connecticut Pagan Pride’s Beltaine event in Berlin, Ct. We’ll be doing readings and Reiki and selling my books there.

I’ll also be teaching a class on Dream Interpretation. One of the first places most of us get in touch with our natural psychic ability is through our dreams, and I’ll be teaching you an easy, fun and practical way to know what your dreams are telling you.

There will also be a lot of other fun classes and activities as well, along with a really nice group of people

As this event is a fund raiser for Ct Pagan Pride, they’ll looking for a $5 donation for the day, and they’ll be collecting donations for the local food pantry and animal shelters as well.

When we’re talking spirituality, one mistake people make is to assume that people in any demographic have identical beliefs and march in spiritual lockstep. Being a Christian, I notice this happening a lot to Christianity- people assuming that because one Christian views the world in one way, we all see things the same.

My experience is that Christians come in a wide range of beliefs and behaviors (including those of people who call themselves Christians but don’t actually follow the example of love and tolerance set by Christ…)

We come in a variety of flavors, kind of like my friends in other faiths

That being said, I found myself fascinated by the information in this article about C.S. Lewis, one of the more noted Christian writers in history.

… in Chez Kane

Spent a good part of the day today working on our taxes. Money’s tight, so the prospect of paying in is stressful, It’s our first time using tax software, and we’re both tech challenged so that’s stressful too.

And this is all on top of all of the usual stresses currently taking up room in our lives.

No fun this….. but also, what an excellent challenge.

Now, if you drop by here regularly, you know more than a bit about the Law of Attraction, and how the energy you put out tends to have an effect on what you attract back to you.

and, given the amount of stress in the mix right now, we have the potential to attract some really primo crap.

Or…. we could do something different….

One of the really groovy things about the world is Free Will. And one thing that we can do with it is we can choose how we view our situation. This sets the level of our energetic fields and thereby determines the kinds of things we are more likely to attract in consequence

We can chose the framework we experience our lives through. We can choose to stay in our stress, or we can do things to release it

Play music that makes us happy
Read books that give us hope
Watch TV or movies that bring our spirits up

And by raising our energetic levels, we become more attractive to better experiences in our lives

This evening, I’ve watched TV shows that talked about happy endings. I’ve done things to nurture myself. And I’ve done energetic exercises to raise my energy

And tomorrow, I’ll be attracting better things into my life.
