The fall Connecticut Renaissance Faire begins this weekend at 14 Stott Ave in Norwich, Ct.

There’ll be dancing and singing, entertainment of types you’ve never seen before, amazing shopping, great food and King Henry the VIII, who always keeps things lively.

And the psychics of Foresight, of course, doing readings and selling Catherine’s books.

and it’s Pets weekend, with a pet costume contest on Saturday, a pet tricks contest on Sunday, and the Smooch a Pooch fundraising booth and the chance to march with your pet in the royal procession on both days.

Sept 27 is also Heroes Day, with special rates for active military, police, fire, EMS, dispatch, veterans and their dependents.

Special entertainment this weekend includes the Chinese acrobats and the Tribal de Luna dancing troop

so you can see this will be a wonderful weekend to visit the Middle Ages…

Coronal Mass Ejection

On Fri night through Sat morning the Earth received a near miss, a cosmic love ta p as it were, from a mass of ionized gas a.k.a. plasma ejected from the Sun. The most obvious physical effects were that the Aurora Borealis was visible MUCH further south than normal. For those of us that are more “sensitive” to energies there have been things ranging from a vague jittery feeling to outright flu like symptoms. This was a 4.1 CME in the 1850’s a CME of 61 was experienced. It blew telegraph lines ,started fires and generally caused havoc. What it did in the spiritual community was not recorded.
