If you’ve been here for a bit, you may be aware that we not only post according to what’s speaking to us at the moment, but also take requests for post topics and answer questions posed to us. If you want to know about it, and we know about it, we’ll write about it. Just leave us a comment or drop us a line at we_are_foresight@yahoo.com .

I had a query the other day from a new subscriber who was interested in the question of reconciling the differences between metaphysics, Paganism and Christianity, for those people who embrace mutiple paths.

I’m glad to have this request. I’m glad to write on this topic. But I have to keep in mind that this is a topic that can get a bit tricky.

Religion can be a very sensitive subject. From what I’ve seen, religion and politics are the two topics most generally likely to create conversational conflict between folks. But religion and spirituality is also a very important area for most of us

So I’m going to talk religion and spirituality for a bit.

This is just a headsup for those of you who get queasy or uneasy at the concept. (It’s not everybody’s cuppa tea… nor does it have to be). If you fall into this particular group, feel free to skip these posts and come back for the ones on crystals, self-improvement and where to catch Foresight next…

If, on the other hand, you are one of the people who finds that this is a topic that is interesting or important to you, I’d invite you to walk with me on this question. I’d also invite your comments and opinions on the subject.

Because this is a sensitive subject, I’m going to encourage those of you who comment to choose your words carefully, but we would love to hear where you stand on this subject.

The Scent of Sanctity in the Mainstream

Was looking through a catalog the other day. Not a New Age catalog- just an everyday “things - for -your -home” catalog.

And I found something interesting

I spotted a line of cleaners that in 4 scents

Sage – as is used for smudging to clear a room of negative energy;

Lavender – which is good for stress relief;

Lemon – which in aromatherapy is an energizing scent;

And Vanilla Lavender – adding the loving comforting scent of vanilla to the stress relief of lavender.

Looks like the mainstream world is catching up with the metaphyscal community .

A reporter, researching an article on tatoos, was looking through a book of flashes, examples of what images were available. On one page, he was surprised and a bit shocked to see a large ornate design that prominently featured the words ”Born to Lose” .

The reporter turned to the tatoo artist, asking him ”What kind of person would get a tatoo like that?…”

“One who had it tatooed first on his mind long before before I touched his skin…” said the artist….

…..

Herkimer Diamonds are the exception to the American belief that “bigger is better”. Indeed they seem to work on the concept of ” less is more”. Some of most energetic Herkimers that I have worked with are not much bigger than a wooden match head. This leads to their inclusion in ultra small wards, say no bigger than a cigarette filter, which can be carried in a wallet or used to ward an office or a cubicle .

Beliefs, Manifestation, Inception and the Matrix

Was reading a few blogs the other day, and ran across one where the blogger was talking about the movie “Inception” and the nature of dreams. He noted that, at one point, during a gun battle, DiCaprio’s gun isn’t having the desired impact. In response, his colleague tells him to use a little imagination, and as an example, he pulls out…a somewhat bigger gun.

The blogger felt that was anticlimactic , because,with a dream, you could make almost anything happen.

Fair enough, that.

But it got me thinking….

What could you do if your mind didn’t tell you that it wasn’t possible?

I’d say that the bigger gun mentally worked for the agent in the movie because it was within his context of what was actually possible. In dreams, you could do anything but, for many people, something that was too far out of their mental construct of possible would trigger mental resistance and block the whole arrangement

So he could accept a bigger gun, and there it was…

We see the same thing in the energywork of manifestation. Theoretically, anything is equally possible, and it’s as easy to manifest a diamond as a parking space, but most folks have mental limits that see the parking space as easy and the diamond as difficult.

And so they block the bigger item from coming into their lives.

This is why you see a lot of people who use the Law of Attraction to get good parking spaces, but very few lottery wins.

In the movie “the Matrix”,

The average mind accepts “reasonable” limits.
The rebels are standouts because they accept as possible skills that reach the extraordinary end of normal human possibility.
The “Smiths” are deadly because they go beyond the limits of “normal” human possibility, but still follow natural limits.
Neo is extraordinary, because, for him there are no limits…

And so, Neo can fly……

Food for thought.

Stop Flushing More Money Down the Drain…

Earlier this week, we talked about Feng Shui beliefs about plumbing. How in Feng Shui, if the lid is up on the toilet, it can energetically lead to money “going down the drain”…

And, for the gentlemen in the readership, this is not a “woman-wants-the-seat-down” thing. The belief is that water draining out of the house energetically leads to unexpected expenses.

car repairs;
home repairs;
tax bills:

You get the idea.

So, the concept is that, by keeping the lid down when the toilet is not in use, you are blocking that negative energy flow, and cutting down on or eliminating such freak expenditures.

This is called a Feng Shui “cure” – a technique or trick to block negative energy. And it is a good thing.

But, by the by, your toilet is not the only place that water drains out of, right?

No worries – we got some other cures for you….

For drains in sinks (kitchen, bathroom, or, for the ritzy, home bar), one way of blocking the money from going down the drain is to stop the sinks when not draining water. Close the little thing-a-ma-jig…

Or, if that’s too hard to remember (especially when you get up early or crash out very late), you can tie a red ribbon around the drain pipe under the sink for long range protection that doesn’t require remembering to do something on a regular basis.

It’s also a good idea to be sure to turn faucets completely off, and repair any dripping faucets. That not only prevents the energetic drain of cash, but also that drain on the physical plane (do you know how fast your water bill goes up with that tiny little drip?)

So control the energy. Do the cures.

And don’t let your money go down the drain….
