In a few days, we’ll reach the fourth and final weekend of the Robin Hood Springtime festival; and they’ve loaded the faire with good things for every faire visitor. This weekend is both Pet Lover’s weekend and the Highland Games.

Both Saturday and Sunday, the Highland games make their home at the faire at the faire. And the Men in Tights competition will also take place on Saturday.

And, for those of you with four footed friends, this weekend is also Bring Your Pets to the faire weekend. There will be a Doggoned costume contest on Sunday, and the wonderful experiences of the faire for pets and their families all weekend long.

(Per the faire- You are responsible for the actions of your pet. Please bring means to pick up after your pet and provide it food/water. Please bring means to pick up after your pet and provide it with food/water.

Dogs require the following: Proof of rabies vaccination from your vet or a tag on your pet with a valid rabies expiration date; our Dog registration form and injury waiver filled out; a photo of your dog we can keep (and attach to your completed registration form); a leash for your pet. )

The psychics of Foresight will be there throughout the weekend, doing Reiki and readings by tarot, palm, I Ching, intuition and dowsing.. We’ll also be selling copies of “Adventures in Palmistry” and “The Practical Empath”; as well as enjoying the amazing people and experiences you find at a renaissance faire.

That’s right. It’s romance weekend coming up in a few days at the Robin Hood Springtime Festival, and you should be part of it.

Ladies and gentlemen both, this is your time to score major affection points with the person you care for in the romantic ambiance of the Middle Ages.

Buy your sweetie a rose. Compete in contests of martial skill. Snuggle at a show.

This weekend, Friar Tuck and the Mayor of Nottingham will perform free marriage renewals for those married couples attending who wish to participate. The Robin Hood Archery contest takes place on Saturday. The Fairest Maid competition is also on Saturday

It’s only a few days until the second weekend of the Robin Hood Springtime Festival, and you won’t want to miss this one. It’s fantasy and time traveler weekend, a special weekend set aside for elves and trolls and steam punk adventurers.

In addition to the wide assortment of entertainment and fun happening every day of the faire, there’s the Steampunk costume contest on Saturday, May 19^th, and the special Feast of the Merry (additional advance tickets required) on both Saturday and Sunday

We are otherwise committed on Sunday, but the psychics of Foresight will be there on Saturday, doing Reiki and readings by tarot, palm, I Ching, intuition and dowsing, and our good friend, Adam Latin will be holding down the fort on Sunday. We’ll also be selling copies of “Adventures in Palmistry” and “The Practical Empath”; as well as enjoying the amazing people and experiences you find at a renaissance faire.

In only a few days, the Robin Hood Springtime Festival will open its gates, inviting you to a world of adventure, romance and good fun for everyone.

There’s a host of entertainment and fun happening every day of the faire, but there are also different special events happening every weekend. This weekend, it’s the Robin Hood and Maid Marion look-alike contest on Saturday, and you’re invited to take Mom on a trip to the Renaissance on Sunday for Mother’s Day. (Watch for more fun events in the coming weekends)

Are your days getting a bit too mundane and humdrum?

Do you need a little epic adventure in your life?

Have no fear. The adventure is back in a little over two weeks, and Foresight is a part of it.

The Robin Hood Springtime Festival returns, starting May 12th and running from 11 – 7 for four glorious weekends, at the Guilford Fairgrounds at 1 Lovers Lane in Guilford, Ct.

There’ll be music and laughter, damsels and knights,villains and fabulous beasts. There’ll be feats of amazing skill and of derring do. There’ll be adventure and intrigue and romance and turkey legs.

And the psychics of Foresight, of course.

And, hopefully, there’ll be you.

There are lots of lovely experiences that will be there every weekend, but there are also different special events that only happen on one weekend or one day, so you’ll want to check the website for the festival to decide when you want to come. (There’s so many interesting options, you may need to come more than once…)

The Dark Ages Get Darker….

The third weekend of the Connecticut Renaissance Faire is coming up; and as the days get shorter and the nights get longer, the Dark Ages are getting darker, too.

It’s time for Halloween Knights….

By day, it’s still a wonderful renaissance faire, filled with adventure, romance, laughter, food and shopping (and the psychics of Foresight, of course)

But, for the next two Saturday nights, CTRF adds two extra hours of adventure to the day, at no extra charge to you, our patrons. And for those two extra hours, the dead return….

This is something you just shouldn’t miss….

So, join us by day on Saturday, Sunday or Monday(Columbus Day) this weekend for a rollicking good time. You can find us in our new pavilion on the corner of Ironside St and the Kings Way opposite the children’s games

And, if you like, stay for the Really Dark Ages on Saturday night…

Romance weekend is coming up at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire.

This weekend, on Saturday you can be part of free vows renewals done by CTRF’s own “Pope Orbino”.

And on Sunday, it’s the finals of the “Babes in Bodices” contest and the Highland games, where men in kilts perform amazing feats of strength and skill by throwing heavy objects around.

Well, it’s a little over a week to the opening of the Robin Hood Springtime festival in Guilford, Ct.

And we want to see you there.

Besides all of the outlaws and jousting and general medieval carrying-on, this first weekend is Easter weekend, so there’ll be an Easter egg hunt on both days of the weekend;

Celebrity guest Chase Masterson of Robin Hood – Men in Tights and Star Trek- Deep Space Nine will be there for a Q & A and autograph session;

Kids 12 and under get in free on Sunday:
