A Highland invasion was rumored for the opening weekend of the Robin Hood Springtime festival, but alas, that is not to be.

Darn it! I love a man in a kilt (specifically my husband, but that’s another story..)

But despite the shortage of Celtic compeititions, there is plenty of other good stuff to be had this weekend at the faire. Sunday is the Robin and Marion Look Alike contest- dress like Robin Hood or Maid Marion and you might win. This weekend, Skarazula is Castle Stage Music and it’s Open stage on Nottingham Ale Music. And there’s favorites like the Iron Hill Vagabonds, the Hopeless Romantics or Johnny Fox Sword Swallower to amaze and amuse you.

not to mention Robin Hood and his Merry Men….

The psychics of Foresight will be there doing readings and Reiki, selling my books, and enjoying the fun of a really good faire.

There are many good things that you’ll find on every day of the faire, but there are also certain things that you will only find on certain days or weekends.

Like Robin Hood? Like kilts? Like rennfaires and minstrels and adventure and celtic sports?

Then have we got an event for you…

This weekend is the first of three splendid weekends of the Robin Hood Springtime Festival from May 18- June 2 at 111 Lovers Lane in Guilford, Ct. Every weekend is full of the adventures of Robin Hood, music and dancing and fun, great entertainers, and amazing shopping with one of a kind products and services that you can’t find any where else…

Including the psychics of Foresight. We’ll be there doing readings and Reiki, selling my books, and enjoying the fun of a really good faire.

It’s almost here!

This weekend, it’s the Hudson Valley Mayfaire, May 11 and 12th at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz, NY

There’ll be music and laughter, damsels and knights, villains and fabulous beasts. There’ll be feats of amazing skill and of derring do. There’ll be adventure and intrigue and romance and faire food.

And the psychics of Foresight, of course. We’ll be there, doing Reiki and readings by tarot, palm, I Ching, intuition and dowsing. We’ll also be selling copies of all four of Catherine’s books, and offering a free mini-class on doing your own readings during the noon time hour.

We’ll be there, and hopefully you will too.

And, having shook the winter from our shoes at Mayfaire, it’s time for Foresight to dance on to the Robin Hood Springtime Festival. The faire starts on May 18th and runs from 11 – 7 for three glorious weekends, at the Guilford Fairgrounds at 1 Lovers Lane in Guilford, Ct.

And the psychics of Foresight, of course.

And, hopefully, there’ll be you.

There are lots of lovely experiences that will be there every weekend, but there are also different special events that only happen on one weekend or one day, so you’ll want to check the website for the festival to decide when you want to come. (There’s so many interesting options, you may need to come more than once…) The first weekend is the Highland games, but there’s more great things to follow

A reminder- this Saturday (April 27) from 10- 6 in Berlin, Ct is the Beltaine celebration for the Connecticut Pagan Pride Day group. CTPPD is an educational group that tries to build understanding of people following the different pagan spiritual paths by holding events where everyone can attend and learn more. They’re educational and they’re fun too, and they’re held by very nice people.

The psychics of Foresight will be attending doing readings, offering Reiki and selling my books. We’ll also be teaching a free class on dowsing with pendulums and L-rods, one of a number of classes available free with your $5 admission (this event raises money for the main Pagan Pride Day event in the fall)

Well, it feels like spring may actually have gotten here at last (or at least be looming on the horizon…) and when the weather gets nicer, Foresight starts to move outdoors.

It’s our first outdoors event of 2013- the Beltaine celebration for the Connecticut Pagan Pride Day group 0n April 27 from 10- 6 in Berlin, Ct. CTPPD is an educational group that tries to build understanding of people following the different pagan spiritual paths by holding events where everyone can attend and learn more. They’re educational and they’re fun too, and they’re held by very nice people.

Starwolf and myself have attended events by this group for a number of years now, and always had a great time. This year, for the Beltaine event, we’ll be attending doing readings, offering Reiki and selling my books. We’ll also be teaching a free class on dowsing with pendulums and L-rods, one of a number of classes available free with your $5 admission (this event raises money for the main Pagan Pride Day event in the fall)

Besides classes, vendors and very nice people, this event includes a food drive for people and animals and collects supplies for the animal shelter. Your donations gratefully received.

This Saturday on March 23, I’ll be teaching a workshop on creativity for writers and other creative people from 2-6 pm at La Quinta Inn, 116 Newtown Rd, Danbury, Ct.

“So, where do you get your ideas..?”

One of the key tools in writing is creativity. Whether you’re putting your own spin on a familiar topic or telling a whole new story, creativity’s what makes your writing interesting, readable and uniquely yours.

What do you do when you go to the well of creativity, and the well’s gone dry? When you’re stuck, blocked or can’t come up with a new idea? What if you’ve always had a problem thinking creatively?

This practical “play-shop” is a hands-on, experiential class on how creativity works, and lots of easy ways to get in touch with your own creative spirit. You’ll learn about:

The neurological side of creativity. How stimulating your brain can improve your writing.
How fear blocks creativity. How to face those fears and stomp them flat.
Building surroundings that support your creativity, as opposed to draining it.
Breaking free of mental ruts, and the tyranny of “the right answer.”
A toolbox full of techniques to help you get in touch with your natural creativity.
How to develop a “creativity plan” that specifically meets your unique needs.
And a whole lot more…
